Desiree Bashi has been leading creative workshops for children, teaching them how to use Classical Indian Dance techniques for storytelling. Her books and artwork were also showcased as examples of how to bring intercultural themes to life. During these workshops, the children were given the chance to create their own intercultural stories through dance. They were introduced to classical Indian dance performance costumes, jewelry, lotus flower headgear used in Odissi performances, and various musical instruments used in classical Indian dance. The cultural objects inspired the children to incorporate them into the making of their stories.
